Site Classification
In accordance with AS2870-2011, site classification assessments are required for all new builds or extensions to an existing structure. The initial assessment involves a site inspection and conducting drilling of boreholes with our drill or hand auger in locations which are challenging to access. Soil samples are collected and expertly analysed in a laboratory to determine the ‘reactive-nature’ of the soil and determine the expected season surface movement.
Based on the classification of the site, the collected data and observations made, A.C. Geotechnical will provide a report with statistical data and recommendations. A.C. Geotechnical can also provide additional recommendations and soil parameters for retaining walls, swimming pools and site cuts if required.
All soil tests are undertaken by qualified geotechnical engineers. We guarantee the highest degree of professionalism and expertise and produce quality geotechnical reports.
A.C. Geotechnical are known for providing quality reports with short turnaround times and competitive pricing. Our engineers travel to all areas of Victoria.
In addition to a site classification, A.C. Geotechnical can also undertake:

Earthquake categorisation;
-
Wind load assessment; and
-
Bushfire attack level assessments.
